WHAT DOES THE COST INCLUDE?

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes we do! We know payment plans offer flexibility when budgeting for the retreat. You can view all payment plan breakdowns on the registration page here!


WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

We recommend bringing everything you need when traveling away from home. This includes cute outfits for educational sessions, something stylish for dinner time, swimsuit if you plan to hit up the pool, and of course cozy Pj's for our workshops under the stars. But don't worry, we'll be sending out an email a few weeks before to everyone who is attending letting you exactly what to pack!


ARE THERE GOING TO BE ANY TECHNICAL SKILLS HAIR OR MAKEUP CLASSES?

We designed Ember Retreat to be solely focused on growing your business as a hairstylist, makeup artist, or beauty professional. Therefore, we are not going to be teaching any technical hair or makeup classes, all the workshops are going to be business based. This is unlike any other hair show or conference out there! We want you to walk away feeling inspired and ready to take your business to the next level.


DOES THE RETREAT SCHEDULE ALLOW ME TO EXPLORE SANTA BARBARA MORE?

Our retreat agenda is a full schedule. You can view that here. We recommended coming into Santa Barbara early or making arrangements to stay later if you plan on wanting to explore outside of the retreat agenda and timeline. You will be responsible for your own hotel and accommodations should to plan to come in earlier or stay later than what the retreat timeline covers. 


WHERE SHOULD I FLY INTO?

We highly recommend flying into Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA). It's about a 7 min drive from the hotel. The next closest airport is Los Angeles International Airport, but that is located about 1.5 hrs-2 hrs away depending on traffic.


WHAT TIME SHOULD I FLY IN AND OUT?

Check-In for Ember Retreat starts Sunday, May 19th at 4:00pm and officially starts at 5:00pm. It wraps up Wednesday, May 22nd around 11:45am. We recommend flying in with plenty of time to make it to The Kimpton Goodland no later than 4:00pm on Sunday and flying out later in the afternoon/early evening on Wednesday. SoCal traffic is unpredictable, so make sure you map the distance and time from your airport to the hotel. The last thing you want to do is miss out on the first day and be rushed to catch a flight on the last day. 


CAN I SECURE MY OWN ACCOMMODATIONS?

Because this is an all-inclusive retreat, we want all our attendees to get the full experience and stay on site with everyone else. We value the friendships that are going to be made at the Retreat and would hate for someone to miss out on anything. Therefore, we are requiring everyone to stay on site in order to participate in all activities at specially negotiated rates.


WHAT IF SOMETHING COMES UP AND I CAN’T ATTEND THE RETREAT, CAN I GET A REFUND?

All ticket purchases and payments are non-refundable due to the Retreat being all-inclusive, but you are able to transfer your ticket to someone else within 48 hours of the retreat starting due to an emergency.


HOW MANY ATTENDEES WILL BE THERE?

To maintain an intimate environment, we have 40 spots available.


WILL I BE SHARING A ROOM?

You will only share a room if you register for a shared double or bestie rate. You will have your own bed, but will be sharing the room with one other attendee. CAN I SHARE A ROOM WITH MY FRIEND OR COWORKER?

Yes! We know attending a retreat with an industry friend is a great way to relax and connect. You must book under the shared double or bestie rate to ensure you room with a friend. When registering, just let us know your friend's name and we will do our best to room you together. To see a full breakdown of room options, visit the registration page here.


I HAVE A YOUNG CHILD OR I WANT TO BRING MY PARTNER, IS THAT OKAY?

Unfortunately, we would suggest your husband/partner/boyfriend stay at home. We also cannot allow you to bring along your child, dog, or baby with you to the retreat. We want you to be able to fully connect with the other attendees and to be able to completely focus on the education and relaxation with no outside distractions. Think of this as a mini vacay for you and your business!


WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS? CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE THAT?

Yes! We will have vegetarian and vegan options as well as others! If you have any type of dietary restriction, just let us know when you are registering and we'll make sure to get you covered.
